Meet the Directors:
In 2015 Costa Boutsikaris shot, directed and edited his first feature documentary filmed across six states entitled INHABIT: A Permaculture Perspective. In 2016 the film took home the Audience Choice Award at The Environmental Film Festival At Yale, the Princeton Environmental Film Festival, and won Best In Theme at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. In 2017 Boutsikaris joined forces with Anna Palmer, a climate scientist working in the Southwest for a Tribal Advisory Board and together they began filming Inhabitants.
Cast & Crew
Inhabitants highlights the efforts of Native American Communities across the USA; from deserts, coastlines, forests, mountains and prairies, to restore their traditional practices of land management. After colonialism disrupted millennia of successful land stewardship, and as the climate crisis escalates, these time-tested practices of North America's original inhabitants are becoming increasingly essential and profoundly educational in a rapidly changing world.
