Adam Nawrot is a filmmaker and photographer based in New York City and Philadelphia. Nawrot operates Sourland, a small production company focused on the intersection of commercial and non-fiction storytelling, and works as a freelance Director of Photography. Nawrot’s work has taken him around the globe and is driven by a lifelong passion for exploration and storytelling. An avid cyclist, paddler and climber, his practice is never too far removed from a core adventurous spirit.
Cast & Crew
Godspeed, Los Polacos follows five Polish university students as they skillfully pull the strings of the Soviet system. What ensues is a whitewater adventure involving a six-wheeled military truck, homemade equipment and little to no wild water skills. The film follows their epic two-year journey, which culminates in the record-breaking first descent of the world’s deepest canyon and puts the kayakers in Soviet crosshairs after they leverage newfound fame to fight for democracy in the Eastern Bloc.
