The 2023 EarthX Film & Music Festival

 The EarthX Film Festival returns October 20-22, 2023 and will feature evening programs in three beloved venues in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas, TX. Each program will feature film, music, and conversation with themes around outside adventure, conservation, activism, intersectional environmentalism, and representation in the outdoors.

Common Ground ft. Donna Missal

October 20, 2023 | The Texas Theatre

We’ll open our 2023 festival at the historic Texas Theater with a screening of Common Ground, from filmmakers Josh and Rebecca Tickell. Following the screening, we will be joined by filmmaker, Josh Tickell,  film guests and local farmers for further conversation around the regenerative farming movement.  Donna Missal will also be taking the stage with an unforgettable musical performance.

After the show, Join us for a short walk from the Texas Theater to the delicious Casa del Vegano for some good food, drinks and a dance party.

The Heart Beats Outside: An Evening of Immersive Enviornmentalism ft. Ben Sollee

At the beautifully restored Arts Mission Oak Cliff, we welcome guests to fully explore all of their senses. The evening will feature projection mapping which will immerse guests into nature landscapes, as well as short film screenings, an exclusively curated food menu by Dallas’ own, Dive Coastal Cuisine, drinks, storytelling with special guests, and extraordinary live music performances from the Nick Rothouse Trio and world-renowned cellist, Ben Sollee..

Where Passion Meets Purpose ft. Danielle Ponder

October 22, 2023 | The Kessler Theater

Our closing screening will take place at the beautiful Kessler Theater in the heart of historic Oak Cliff.  We will share a selection of short films that highlight stories of characters that not only find purpose in the outdoors, but strive to share that opportunity with others. The evening will also feature an intimate musical performance from Danielle Ponder.

Following the event, guests are invited to join us at The Wild Detectives for drinks, dancing and music by DJ Elkin Pautt as we celebrate our final festival night.
